Atlantean Mountain Dwellings

As a child I used to repeatedly draw simple drawings of a sun setting/rising in the mountains. I never knew why…. Now the memories are surfacing. I felt such a rush of memories painting this 17×24” piece, coupled with joy, happiness and a sense of Freedom. The sun makes me so happy, and I want to go and join the conversation of the cave dwellers. The woman coming out of the entrance to the community at the bottom of the painting, I feel, is coming out to do her laundry. She greets the other woman to her right, who is with her children.
