Memoir of a Waxwing

This painting has an interesting story to it: Bohemian waxwing with weeping clouds and Fairies. Acrylic 11×14

A few days ago there was a dead bird, a bohemian waxwing that was dead on our front porch, it had flown into one of the windows. There was absolutely no way I was going to let the garbage truck claim her , so I buried him under the cedar tree, where I have witnessed a lot of fairy activity, and asked the fairies to look after the body and spirit.

The next day, there were many birds, in our tree, and the neighbors tree, and several Bohemian waxwings, that were going to the cedar tree. The birds, were honoring their kin, and giving him a funeral, and I also believe thanking me for giving their brother or sister a proper burial
